Part I of The Octopus and the Swimmer Triptych
I can’t say precisely what comes over me when I first hit the water. It isn’t like being embraced, swallowed, trapped or any other sinking suspicion of a metaphor. It’s a cool release, a magnificent endeavor. I scan the horizon, not to fend off sea sickness, but to stand and scan for the elusive storm before the surrender…

2 Minutes to 10 Meters and Drowning (II – Triptych)
Coffee, Ink, Incense Ash, Colored Pencil on Smooth Bristol
11″ x 14″ Artwork
Framed 16″ x 20″ w/ mat
Part II of The Octopus and the Swimmer Triptych
The moment the squeeze hits i’m a flowing body slowing drunken and tightly embraced. Limbs weaken as the breath escapes. There is no flashback or regret, only the lonely knowing of tightly constricted… Pounds per inch I sink.

Past Time Where Depth Nor Time Matters (III – Triptych)
Coffee, Ink, Incense Ash, Colored Pencil on Smooth Bristol
11″ x 14″ Artwork
Framed 16″ x 20″ w/ mat
Part III of The Octopus and the Swimmer Triptych
I let the water rush over me and take me in her hands. The imprint of suction, the beauty of death bringing me closer to down…down…down and the unknown in my hair. Worries vanish, dreams of unanswered maydays, praying isn’t helping at all… another body chasing plankton, intimate strangers making me kind of sad. Now me and the sea have all this time together, oh…so…long. Maybe I’m a little bit glad.
